@Deb Foryan, do you source unsprayed straw? I’ve not had luck with anything except unsprayed and it’s harder to find anymore.

Probably. There are a lot of YouTube videos of people suing this method for their gardens. Look it up for the specific plants you’d like to grow.

After 30 years in my old place I had wonderful soil. I’ve had to start over at a new home, but know my soil will be better very soon after using Ruth’s method!

You don’t want to use hay bales – they have seeds! My garden last year was amazing. There is no weeding necessary and the bales stay moist and warm so that you can start planting earlier in the season. I love straw bale gardening!
