Unfortunately, ours don’t seem to be doing well this way. The zucchini starts but then dry up and the ones that grow only get like 3” long and they take weeks! Any advice?

Evidently, our soil is infested with them. They only eat squash, zucchini, and cucumbers. Any suggestions?

If the plant is still flexible, give ti a try: just make sure when you drive the stake into the ground you don’t slice through the roots. The string should not stop the growth if you tie it up loose enough not to cut into the plant.

@Cindy Roos-Ritz, take a look at my page about the plant pollination process. I think it will help: https://www.backyardgardenlover.com/plant-pollination-process/

Can you comment more on self pollinating the zucchini plants and also on using seeds that do not require outside pollination.. I too get flowers and no fruiting. Thank you.

Cindy
