It definitely exists, but probably not for sale anymore. It’s an old feeder, and I have no clue where it came from. I got it from a thrift store.

Then waits to see, believes in God.

God, Help me grow a garden from these tiny packs of seeds.
You supply the sun and rain, and I’ll pull all the weeds.

I am from Romania and we make a mush/cream out of it and eat it with polenta, garlic, and eggs. It’s delicious!

@Julie, A friend told me to sprinkle cat litter around my yard. I used 40lb in my yard last year and my moles were gone for the rest of the year. I don’t know if this was the reason but my moles were gone.

Comment on Louisiana Native Plants List: 8 Lively Flowers For Your Garden by John https://www.backyardgardenlover.com/louisiana-native-plants-list/#comment-57514 Tue, 07 Feb 2023 02:26:55 +0000 https://www.backyardgardenlover.com/?p=15011#comment-57514 I live in central Florida and I cannot find any flowers that can withstand our summer rains and soil. Most of the state has a sandy soil but the soil in my yard is clay. Do you think flowers that are native to your state will do well in our hot, humid, wet summers? I’ve heard you weather is similar, so I am just interested in your opinion.

Thanks

Comment on How To Keep Rabbits Out of the Garden by Scott Fink https://www.backyardgardenlover.com/how-to-keep-rabbits-away-from-the-garden/#comment-57494 Sun, 05 Feb 2023 17:13:33 +0000 https://www.backyardgardenlover.com/?p=754#comment-57494 Last year I made pantyhose bombs, old pantyhose stuffed with dog hair and then tied to sticks. I also spread dog hair around the base of plants that tend to be targets.

I also make rabbit tea. I have my first pee of the day in a gallon milk jug, fill the rest with water, cayenne pepper and crushed garlic. Let that marinate for a day and then sprinkle around the garden. I melt holes in the milk jug cap.

Nothing works perfectly but we had less rabbit damage then the year before.

In terms of plants that are supposed to deter rabbits, I’ve tried them all, and at some point the rabbits will get them too.
